Prepares complete estimates for concrete construction projects. Responsibilities · Prepare a complete conceptual estimate of concrete work during the design phase of project development · Prepare a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP), if required · Identify project scope and budget · Participate in developing a master design/construction schedule · Identify long lead items · Participate in developing bid strategy · Participate in developing a bidders list · Evaluate bids · Set up trade/vendor budgets · Track historical data and price updates · Interface externally with owner, architect/engineer and contractors to provide value engineering and cost data regarding project feasibility. · May provide value engineering services on project designs to bring the project within the owner’s financial limitations. Requirements: · Bachelor degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field · 5 years experience estimating concrete · Experience working in the field as a concrete laborer · Fluency with MS Office software. · Experience with P3 and/or P6 · Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities in a timely manner. · Ability to effectively communicate with all project personnel, written & verbal. · Ability to work efficiently under pressure with strong attention to detail. ~ Accepting NO Third Party Referrals. |
