Summary:

Utilize expertise in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing Equipment Process to assist construction project team.

Responsibilities: 

  • Review and process submittals and shop drawings using Prolog / MS Excel, including conducting inter-coordination review between different building systems
  • Create submittal register and submittal schedule to match field schedule, including analysis of material fabrication and delivery lead times
  • Process, research, analyze, and respond to Requests for Information using Prolog, including resolution of issues involving multiple trades
  • Maintain and distribute project documentation in regards to Manufacturing Process
  • Manage and update drawings and specifications for mechanical, electrical and equipment rigging
  • Enforce corporate safety policies on jobsite, working closely with the project manager, safety representative, and superintendent to support the project safety plan to provide another set of eyes for safety compliance
  • Facilitate Mechanical/Electrical overhead coordination or BIM process
  • Create cost items in SAP and issue to contractors
  Requirements: 
  • Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience
  • PE in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing
  • Typically 5 or more years experience in construction and / or manufacturing industry
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Internet Explorer
  • Experience with Primavera SureTrak and MS Project
  • Experience with SAP a plus
  • Experience with AutoCAD, BIM, 3D Modeling Systems
  • Ability to create CAD files and conceptually layout plant equipment and process
  • Knowledge of Building Systems and Construction Methods integrated with the Manufacturing Process
  • Knowledge of all Engineering Disciplines including Structural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical
  • Ability to design drawings and specifications, with an expertise of mechanical, electrical and manufacturing process drawings
  • Understanding of activities in the field and how these affect engineering and superintending functions
  • Knowledge of corporate BMS procedures that apply to project engineering and superintendent roles
  • Knowledge of the components of an owner contract and how they affect engineering functions on the jobsite
