Administer project safety program to maintain safe, healthy working environment; insure program’s effectiveness by minimizing occurrence of unsafe conditions and unsafe acts. Reports To: Corporate Safety Director (plus daily interaction with the Project Manager). Responsibility: · Makes daily safety inspections on site · Conducts safety meeting and educational programs as directed; interfaces with labor and management representatives to discuss and resolve safety items. · Assists in controlling hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee activities through interface with project management/supervisory personnel, including all sub-contractors. · Advises contractors of safety requirements at pre-construction meetings; review contractor safety programs. · Conducts incident investigations and submits reports to corporate safety. · Documents safety program; document all accidents, safety violations, unsafe conditions/activities. · Performs additional assignments at the direction of supervisor. Requirements: · Four years of experience in construction safety. · College degree in Safety and Health preferred. · OSHA 30 Hour Construction Safety Course · Current First Aid and CPR certificate BMC is an EEO Employer.
