Braves Ballpark Builders Race to Beat Schedule

With construction of its new home—SunTrust Park—the Braves organization is aiming at a storied finish, opening a modern stadium on one of the fastest delivery schedules in MLB history.

The 41,500-seat stadium, which broke ground in September 2014, is scheduled for completion in February 2017 in order to be ready for the start of the baseball season. The aggressive schedule ranks second only to Nationals Park in Washington, D.C., which was delivered in under two years.

Barton Malow held its third annual Building Communities Golf Classic on June 27 at Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Township. Funds raised from the event were donated to the Children's Hospital of Michigan and Detroit PAL.

MSU to Invest $50M to Renovate, Expand Breslin Events Center

Michigan State University in East Lansing is investing $50 million to renovate and expand its Breslin Student Events Center, which is home to the university’s men’s and women’s basketball teams.

The project will include the addition of a recruiting lounge, strength and conditioning space, an exterior plaza outside the center’s athletic facilities, as well as a new, 26,000-square-foot Basketball Hall of History, which will be built at the southeast side of the arena.

Awards of Excellence Announced!

Barton Malow Company celebrated their 11th consecutive year honoring employees through the Builder + Leader + Impact + Craftsman Awards program.

The recipients of the 2016 Awards of Excellence were announced on May 24th. The awards were developed in recognition of past representatives who embodied the true values of the company. The program is unique in that Barton Malow employees nominate their peers for each award. This year we had 87 nominations with a record number of individuals receiving multiple nominations.

Barton Malow Employees Hand Keys to New Halifax Habitat Home Owner

There was laughter and tears, prayers and pure joy as the Halifax Habitat for Humanity house, sponsored by employees of Barton Malow, was dedicated and turned over to its new owner Friday afternoon.

Annette Staten and her two teenage children were handed in the keys to a house that was nothing more than a vacant lot less than six months ago.

Oldest GM Assembly Plant in US Gets $900M Investment in Flint

UAW Region 1-D Director Gerald Kariem says, "It's great day. It's a great day. It's a great day. GM is making a powerball-type investment in Flint."

A plant that's produced more than 13 million vehicles, is about to make millions more.

General Motors starts construction on the new GM Flint Assembly Body Shop. The $900 million project kicked off with an opportunity to see renderings of the future body shop.

The plant was built in 1947 and it employs more than 2,800 workers.
