$250 Million Project at Bay County's Karn-Weadock Complex to be Complete by April

A $250 million technology upgrade that will reduce sulfur dioxide emissions at Consumers Energy's Karn-Weadock Generating Complex in Bay County's Hampton Township is scheduled to by completed by April. The spray dry absorber project started more than four years ago and is expected to reduce emissions by 95 percent. Barton Malow and Sterling Heights-based Conti Electric are the contractors involved in the project.
