Barton Malow Awarded the DTE Thumb Wind Project
Southfield, MI — Barton Malow Company was awarded the DTE Thumb Wind Project. The Southfield-based industrial contractor will provide EPC services as well as civil work for the roads, the concrete foundations and turbine erection for 69 1.6-megawatt 100-meter GE turbines. The turbines will be spread out over three sites in the thumb area of Michigan – McKinley, Sigel and Minden. The project is valued at approximately $50-million with a planned December 2012 completion.
