Empowering People: Workforce Development + Training
At Barton Malow, investing in people is fundamental to how we build. By equipping our workforce with the tools, knowledge, and support to succeed and encouraging people to consider the construction industry, we ensure consistent, high-quality project delivery while also advancing what matters most to us—the long-term well-being of people. This commitment not only drives operational excellence but also supports stronger livelihoods, greater economic mobility, and a more sustainable future for our workforce and the communities we serve.

Sustainable Projects: Clean Energy + Environmental Stewardship
At Barton Malow, we believe that Building Today for a Better Tomorrow includes a deep responsibility to protect the planet. From jobsites to our offices, we strive to reduce our environmental impact and champion sustainable construction practices that support a healthier future for the communities we serve. Our efforts are guided by a commitment to continuous improvement and grounded in the understanding that environmental stewardship is essential to long-term success.
By the Numbers
We play an active role in building the clean energy infrastructure needed for a low-carbon future, including utility-scale wind, solar, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). To date, we have installed or are currently constructing more than 5,100 megawatts (MWac) of renewable energy capacity—enough to power over 1 million U.S. homes.
Community Impact + Volunteerism
Barton Malow’s commitment to community continues through the Barton Malow Foundation and our deep-rooted culture of service. Established in 1954, the Foundation supports charitable causes through philanthropy and volunteerism. One of our most celebrated traditions is Community Week, held annually during the first week of August in conjunction with Barton Malow’s corporate anniversary. This initiative empowers team members across the enterprise to step away from their usual responsibilities and spend time volunteering with organizations across North America.
Community Week 2024
In 2024, Barton Malow 990 team members participated in 117 volunteer events, completing over 3,000 hours of service.
