Barton Malow Project Teams Honored at CAM Annual Meeting

Shinola Hotel receives the CAM Project of the Year award.

Barton Malow’s University of Michigan Biological Sciences Building (BSB) and Shinola Hotel project teams were formally honored by the Construction Association of Michigan (CAM) at its Annual Meeting, held Wednesday, February 12, at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan.

Both the BSB and Shinola Hotel were featured in CAM’s “Special Issue” in October 2019, which recognized the 12 best Michigan-based projects of the year. Furthermore, the Shinola Hotel took home CAM’s coveted Project of the Year award, which honors the best of the 12 featured “Special Issue” projects.

In addition to the CAM Project of the Year award, the Shinola Hotel project team has also received a 2019 Best Projects Midwest honor from Engineering News-Record, an Engineering Society of Detroit Construction and Design Award, and a CREW Detroit Impact Award.
