Building Communities Golf Classic

For over 60 years, the Barton Malow Company Foundation has been active in supporting the communities where we live, work and play. Our third annual Building Communities Golf Classic fundraiser took place on June 27th at Oakland Hills Country Club and was a tremendous success. With continued support from our subcontractors, partners and vendors, the day featured our signature ball drop from a Barton Malow crane, sunshine and great golf on the most historic and revered course in the Midwest, excellent food, drinks, prizes and extras, as well as shared feeling of camaraderie and reflection on all that we can do to make a difference when we join together. Major beneficiaries were the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation and Detroit PAL, with donations also going to the Michigan Veteran’s Foundation and the Evans Scholar Program.

“We are honored and humbled by the support that has been readily given by our sponsors from our subcontracting, vendor and partner community. Over 40 companies have stepped forward for our cause, helping us to raise $250,000 annually to support and build up those that need it most,” said Doug Maibach, Foundation Trustee and Company Executive Vice President.

“I am so proud to work for a company that not only talks the talk, but also walks the walk in supporting its employees and the community. Barton Malow's commitment to community service is unmatched in the industry. It starts at the top and is infused into all that we do as individuals and as a team of builders. "Far and away the best prize that life has to offer is the chance to work hard at work worth doing." Theodore Roosevelt spoke these inspirational words, and Barton Malow makes it possible for me to put them into action every day! ”
