Barton Malow Welcomes Back Tom Garza as VP of Industrial Services

Tom returns to lead industrial services operations and will work to earn new business in the automotive, energy, and industrial markets.

Barton Malow has announced the return of seasoned construction executive Tom Garza to its enterprise as Vice President of Industrial Services, responsible for overseeing the enterprise’s rigging, millwright, and boilermaker operations. In this role, he will collaborate closely with teams across the organization to drive results in the automotive, energy, and industrial markets.

Garza’s return comes at a strategic time as Barton Malow continues advancing its long-term vision to build innovative and trust-based solutions that address the construction industry’s productivity challenges and deliver greater value to clients and communities. His leadership will focus on growing the company’s industrial services capabilities while reinforcing exceptional project delivery and relationship-driven approach that have defined Barton Malow for more than a century.

“Barton Malow identified significant opportunities for growth in Industrial Services and recognizes that the market is ripe with opportunity,” says Barton Malow Chief Operating Officer Chuck Binkowski. “Tom’s dedicated leadership and industry experience make this the ideal time for him to step into this role, advance Barton Malow’s capabilities, and better serve clients’ evolving needs.”

Tom previously spent 18 years at Barton Malow, where he led some of the company’s largest and most complex industrial and automotive projects, including BlueOval SK Battery Park Kentucky, the Delta Energy Park, and several major programs with DTE Energy, experiences that will also help him in his new position. Most recently, he led an industrial services business, further expanding his market insights and leadership depth.

“I’m energized by the opportunity to lead our Industrial Services team and help shape the next chapter of growth,” says Tom. “Industrial services require a high level of trust, precision, and partnership — qualities that define Barton Malow and will guide how we grow these capabilities moving forward.”

Tom is based out of Barton Malow’s Southfield, Michigan, headquarters.
