Founded in Detroit in 1924, Barton Malow has remained one of the foremost construction firms in Southeast Michigan for quite some time. Recently, it has worked on some of the City of Detroit’s most marquee projects, including the Shinola Hotel, the ongoing Hudson’s Site Development, and Little Caesars Arena.
Barton Malow moved its headquarters from Detroit to Southfield in 1986. A central location to many of our Midwest projects and offices, the current headquarters facility is a 110,000-SF, employee-designed and built, four-story building that runs 100% on Michigan-made wind and solar energy.
Barton Malow has consistently pushed the boundaries and pioneered methods ingrained in the construction industry today. Its approach involves carefully considering each project’s scale, complexity, and schedule before determining and deploying the best construction delivery method to get the job done well and on time.
Built on a foundation of integrity and trust, Barton Malow is well-positioned as a leader among Michigan construction companies. Its place atop the Crain’s Detroit Business’ Largest General Contractors list further solidifies that position.
