In the News: Jackie Robinson Ballpark Renovations Nearing Completion

Jackie Robinson Ballpark Media Day

The $30-million design-build project will conclude in early 2026.

Barton Malow, the city of Daytona Beach, and the Daytona Tortugas recently hosted members of the Florida media for a behind-the-scenes tour of the Jackie Robinson Ballpark renovation project as it nears completion.

The forthcoming Player Development Facility.

Construction on the $30-million design-build project began in 2024 and will conclude in early 2026. Renovations are highlighted by the construction of a 30,000 SF Player Development Facility, which topped out in July. Also included are new home and away clubhouses, indoor batting cages and fitness areas, upgraded dugouts and accessible parking, and new team stores, office space, club seating, and infrastructure improvements.

Jackie Robinson Ballpark opened in 1914 and is the oldest ballpark still used in minor league baseball.

As the Jackie Project moves into its next chapter, the vision shared during media day and the owner tour is quickly becoming a reality. With Phase 2 set to begin later this month, pending City Commission approval of the GMP on November 19, the team is ready to deliver transformative upgrades. From the new third-base amenity building and expanded concessions to enhanced concourse spaces, protective netting, and shaded bullpen seating, every detail reflects a commitment to elevating the fan experience. Demolition of the existing clubhouses will pave the way for modern facilities and improved infrastructure, ensuring this iconic venue continues to honor its legacy while embracing the future.
