First Annual Foundation Building Communities Golf Classic Raises Funds to Invest in the Detroit Region; Celebrates 60 Years of Giving

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – June 27, 2014 – On Monday, June 23rd the Barton Malow Foundation hosted its first Building Communities Golf Classic at Meadowbrook Country Club to raise donations beyond what Barton Malow Company typically invests in the Foundation. This year, the Foundation celebrates 60 years of community giving and has been formalized as a 501c3 to focus on further development of the communities where Barton Malow Company builds People, Projects and Communities.

Barton Malow Receives CRSI Honors Award for Technological Innovation

For nearly 40 years, the Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute has used the CRSI Design Awards program to proudly recognize innovative reinforced concrete structures throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Barton Malow was recognized for leadership and innovation in the design and construction of steel reinforced concrete structures by leveraging Building Information Modeling and Virtual Design & Construction to expand the efficiency and potential of steel reinforced concrete systems.

Barton Malow Announced as Construction Manager for the New Orlando City Soccer Stadium Project

Orlando City SC and the City of Orlando have announced the selection of Populous as the lead architect and Barton Malow as the construction manager for the new, downtown Major League Soccer (MLS) stadium. Orlando City concurrently announced the selection of ICON Venue Group to serve as the Club’s owner’s representative overseeing the project.

Barton Malow receives prestigious Architectural Engineering Institute Professional Project Award

Reston, Va. – The American Society of Civil Engineer’s (ASCE) Architectural Engineering Institute (AEI) recently honored four organizations that work within the architectural engineering industry with professional project awards at the 2014 AEI National Student Conference March 29 at Drexel University in Philadelphia. Skidmore Owings and Merrill, LLP and Barton Malow Company won the top awards; and Southland Industries and SmithGroup JJR both won awards of merit.

Barton Malow-Hunt-White Selected As General Contractor to Build the New Detroit Events Center

Detroit, MI –– April 10, 2014 — We are extremely pleased to announce that Barton Malow-Hunt-White has been selected as the General Contractor for new Detroit events center. The City of Detroit Downtown Development Authority Board (DDA) approved the recommendation by Olympia Development of Michigan (ODM) at their board meeting on April 9th.

Barton Malow Breaks Ground on Facility for Rare Isotope Breams (FRIB) At Michigan State University

Lansing, MI –– March 17, 2014 — Barton Malow is pleased to announce the groundbreaking for the Facility for Rare Isotope Breams (FRIB) at Michigan State University. The groundbreaking ceremony was held on March 17 for the new facility, which is scheduled to open in 2022. Barton Malow Company will serve as the construction manager, and SmithGroup JJR will serve as Project Architect.
