Barton Malow is partnering with Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University to deliver a transformative six‑story, 578,000 SF mixed‑use facility on the Embry‑Riddle Daytona Beach campus. Designed to enhance campus living and learning, the project includes comprehensive construction management services and continues a long-standing collaboration between Barton Malow and the university. This state‑of‑the‑art facility supports the needs of modern students by integrating student housing, academic spaces, and specialized aviation infrastructure.
The residence hall will feature 418 student beds in four‑person semi‑suite layouts, supported by comfortable lounges and shared study areas that encourage social connection and academic collaboration. On the ground floor, dedicated learning environments—including classrooms, lecture halls, and faculty offices—strengthen the university’s commitment to bringing education and daily living into a unified mixed‑use setting.
Innovative Aviation‑Ready Parking Structure
A standout component of the project is the 934‑space parking garage, uniquely engineered to support Embry‑Riddle’s aviation mission. Positioned adjacent to the airfield, the garage is designed to function both as campus parking and as a temporary aircraft shelter during severe weather. The structure can accommodate more than 80 aircrafts, significantly reducing the need for off‑site relocations while minimizing disruptions to flight operations.
A Continued Partnership Supporting Student Success
Building on previous successful collaborations, Barton Malow is delivering a project that enhances the student experience while supporting the university’s long‑term growth. The new facility strengthens Embry‑Riddle’s reputation as a leader in aerospace and aviation education, offering modern housing, advanced academic spaces, and resilient aviation infrastructure built for the future.
