The Kalamazoo Event Center is a groundbreaking 453,000-square-foot sports and entertainment complex situated in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Upon completion, this cutting-edge facility will become the new home for Western Michigan University hockey and basketball student-athletes and the Kalamazoo Wings. Barton Malow is overseeing the construction management with JV partner, CSM Group.
Designed to accommodate a wide range of activities, the center will host competitive sports, community events, and live concerts, establishing itself as a key entertainment hub in the region. The amenities for student-athletes will include dedicated locker rooms, practice facilities, and support spaces tailored to the needs of Western Michigan University athletes. Concerts are estimated to have 8,000 seats, while hockey and basketball games will likely have 6,500 seats.
