Barton Malow and AECOM Hunt are the construction managers for the Jacksonville Jaguars’ Stadium of the Future — a 1,886,887 SF renovation that will transform EverBank Stadium into one of the most advanced sports and entertainment venues in the country. The project is currently in progress with anticipated completion in August 2028.
Following a unanimous vote of approval by the NFL last fall, the Jaguars selected the AECOM Hunt–Barton Malow joint venture to lead the development of this next-generation facility. The partnership brings together decades of experience delivering high-profile sports venues on immovable deadlines.
The “Stadium of the Future” reimagines the Jacksonville Jaguars‘ home as a premier sports and entertainment venue. The project, once completed, will showcase the latest innovations and immersive experiences that will provide visitors with a world-class experience both during NFL games as well as events such as future Super Bowls, Final Four tournaments, college football playoffs, marquee concerts and more. Project highlights include:
- Protective canopy – A transparent shell using the latest innovations, providing weather protection and reducing heat retention by more than 70 percent
- Expanded capacity – Flexible configurations will increase capacity from 63,000+ to more than 70,000
- Wider concourses – 360-degree concourses will be 4 times wider than existing spaces
- Immersive tech – A transformative environment using lighting and digital technology to create distinctive event experiences
- Lookout decks – New spaces offering skyline and river views
- New communal spaces – Interactive social areas showcasing local food and retailers
- New seating – New configurations offered throughout every level
- Nature park – Public open space accessible year-round, not just on event days
