Best and Brightest Places to Work for 2017

Detroit, Michigan (September 22, 2017) — The Detroit-area is often recognized for its grit, grind, and resilience, but sometimes overlooked is its propensity to be home to some of the brightest. Michigan-based construction services company Barton Malow was recently recognized as one of them as it was named one of Metropolitan Detroit’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® for the 12th consecutive year.

To determine how employers are selected for the award, companies from the Detroit-area are given overall snapshots of their strengths and weaknesses based on questionnaires. Metropolitan Detroit’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® then uses this information to create an at-large view of employers that excel in giving its employees a leading working environment.

Barton Malow has been a major hiring force in the area, and according to Lisa Tolbert, Director of Employee Relations, the key to the company’s success has been its commitment to providing the best experience for its team. “We always keep our eyes open for new ways to support our employees,” says Tolbert. “The key to fostering a great work culture is by giving team members a foundation that they can build upon to fit their needs, interests, and desire for growth.”

The Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® is a program of the Michigan Business and Professional Association and is presented annually in several markets, including Detroit, Chicago, Atlanta, Houston, Grand Rapids and now nationally.
