Jason McFadden winner of “40 under 40”

Roswell, GA – August 26, 2008 — Jason McFadden, EIT, project manager in Barton Malow’s Southern Region, has been selected by Consulting-Specifying Engineer magazine as a 2008 "40 Under 40" winner. The award is given to 40 building industry engineers under the age of 40 "who stand out in their academic, professional, personal and community achievements," according to the magazine. McFadden, 25, is one of only three winners under 30.

He began his Barton Malow career as a LEAPS (LEArning Practicum for Students) intern, on the Medlar Field at Lubrano Park jobsite at Penn State University. With its sustainable features and practices, the project became the first baseball park to earn LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. McFadden moved on to work at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC, and the BB&T Coastal Field in Myrtle Beach, SC. He is currently completing the Women’s Softball Complex at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta.
