Barton Malow Wins 2022 Governor’s Service Award

Michigan Governors Service Award Barton Malow

On Thursday, November 17, at the Fox Theatre in Detroit, Michigan, Barton Malow was recognized with a Corporate Social Impact Award during the 2022 Governor’s Service Awards. The Awards, which have been presented by the Governor and the Michigan Community Service Commission since 1994, honor individuals, organizations, and businesses that have made a tremendous impact in their communities through service and volunteerism.

“We are proud to recognize this remarkable group of Michiganders who are an inspiration when it comes to helping others,” said Michigan Community Service Commission Executive Director Ginna Holmes. “Their service has strengthened communities and made our state more resilient.”

Barton Malow was recognized in part for its annual Community Week, during which all team members are invited to volunteer at pre-scheduled activities for charities near their offices and jobsites. In 2022, Community Week included more than 800 Barton Malow volunteers at 107 different volunteer activities in 14 states and two countries. The volunteer time totaled more than 3,500 hours, with 2,000 of those hours happening in Michigan communities from Monroe to Midland and Detroit to Grand Rapids.
