Our collaborative purpose with automotive companies, design partners, suppliers, and team members across a project site allows Barton Malow to provide solutions and cost savings. Building on our expertise, experience with automakers, and our success with massive programs, Barton Malow is the builder of choice for lithium-ion battery manufacturing and electric vehicle facilities.

Controlled environments are critical to manufacturing complex products needed in the automotive market, such as battery cells, battery precursor components, electronics, and advanced coatings. Barton Malow leads cleanroom/dry room projects from design through certification. Our teams provide comprehensive management, oversight, and self-perform installation of the complete cleanroom/dry room system, including walls and ceilings (walkable and non-walkable), plenums, support systems, soffits, and air supply and return systems. From door systems and airlocks to air-showers and gowning rooms, our union craft professionals focus on the quality and cleanliness required to reach and maintain the project’s requirements. Maintaining controlled conditions through the certification of complex installations requires careful implementation of contamination control strategies and procurement of specialized components at scale. Barton Malow’s specialist team has the expertise and partnerships to build facilities with exacting performance criteria.
