Two of Barton Malow’s projects with Orlando Health have earned awards as part of the 2020 Excellence in Construction Awards with Central Florida Chapter Associated Builders and Contractors program. The Dr. Phillips Hospital – 5th Floor Buildout project won the Eagle Award for the Best Healthcare Project $10-20 million, earning the highest score in its category. The Orlando Health Emergency Room and Medical Pavilion – Lake Mary expansion project earned the Award of Merit for Healthcare Projects $20-50 million with a score of over 90%.
In June, project delivery teams for these projects conducted walk-throughs with judges. Dozens of healthcare projects throughout central Florida were entered for awards.
The $16.4-million Dr. Phillips Hospital – 5th Floor Buildout was expedited to wrap up construction in February 2020, and this project has already had a profound impact on the community and patients it now serves. The $45.8-million Lake Mary project delivered an emergency room and medical pavilion equipped with patient rooms, imaging, testing, rehab, and room for further expansion.
