Barton Malow Company President Jon Woodsum has been recognized among Crain’s 2022 Notable Leaders in electric vehicles (EV). This award was given to 24 people in leadership roles who support the EV industry by adopting, advocating for, and implementing electric vehicles and EV platforms like charging infrastructure, fleet conversion, and research.

Under Jon’s leadership, Barton Malow Company has leveraged its position in the market, having worked with nearly every major automotive manufacturer and Tier 1-3 supplier. These relationships, combined with our skilled self-perform workforce and success with massive programs, have made us the builder of choice for lithium-ion battery manufacturing and electric vehicle facilities, which will usher in the next generation of EVs.

Barton Malow Company is building the recently announced BlueOval SK Battery Park in Glendale, Kentucky. This joint venture project between Ford Motor Company and SK Innovations includes twin battery facilities on a 1,500-acre campus, which will produce batteries for Ford’s next generation of EVs. This monumental BlueOval SK project follows the announcement of two Ultium Cell facilities, a joint venture between General Motors and LG Energy Solutions, as part of GM’s plan to invest $35 billion in EVs and autonomous vehicles by 2035.

Building on our expertise, experience with automakers, and success with massive programs, Barton Malow is the builder of choice for lithium-ion battery manufacturing and electric vehicle facilities.
