Barton Malow provided general contracting services to the City of Fort Wayne for the construction of a new wastewater treatment plant, and improvements to existing preliminary and secondary water treatment areas. Barton Malow also provided self-perform services for concrete structures to support new primary treatment and disinfection facilities.
The scope of work included new primary clarification and sludge pumping facilities, new phosphorous removal and sodium hypochlorite facilities, and new wastewater screen equipment. Improvements to existing facilities included the return activated sludge (RAS) pumping facility and demolition and removal of unused structures.
