Construction of Bloomfield Hills High School On Schedule

Due to a decreasing student population, facility maintenance costs and aging facilities, the community of Bloomfield Hills approved a bond in May 2012 to renovate the existing Andover High School in order to consolidate Lahser and Andover into one high school, creating Bloomfield Hills High School.

Construction of the the new high school - designed to be a 21st Century learning environment, with a 220,000 SF addition that includes: learning communities, commons space, full service kitchen, full production performing arts center, swimming pool and competition Gymnasium - is on schedule. Classes are expected to be held in the new building in fall of 2015.
