Goodyear Sports and Recreation Complex Wins SWC Best of 2009 Honorable Mention Award

Tempe, AZ – October 6, 2009 - Barton Malow Company has received the Southwest Contractor Best of 2009 Honorable Mention Award for the Goodyear Sports and Recreation Complex in Goodyear, AZ. The $75 million project includes a 10,000+ seat outdoor ballpark and development complexes for the Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Reds Major League Baseball Teams.

The complex is a central component of Goodyear’s economic and community development plan, hosting almost 100,000 spring training fans, as well as youth, amateur, high school and college tournaments. During the off-season, the ballpark’s patios and party decks are available for holiday festivals, arts and crafts shows, concerts, weddings and other private and public events.

The six full-sized practice fields, half-sized field, agility fields, and major league 43,000+ SF clubhouses with coach’s offices, weight training room, physical and hydro therapy rooms, and team locker rooms, serve as the Indians’ and Reds’ home-away-from-home during spring training.
