Barton Malow Named as Sports Business Journal ‘Power Player: Builders’

Sports Business Journal has recognized Barton Malow as a lead contractor in the sports market.

As a builder of iconic sports venues, Barton Malow is proud to say we have never missed an opening day. Our focus is to always exceed the expectations of the 21st-century team and its fans, an attribute that may be one of the reasons why we were named on Sports Business Journal’s 2023 “Power Player: Builders” list.

This list recognizes the construction firms that dedicate resources, strategy, and innovation to increasing expectations of sports venues and raising the bar on fans’ in-venue experience and comfort.

Barton Malow made its sports debut in the mid-1930s when the company completed a small renovation to Navin Field, the then-home of the Detroit Tigers. Much of our success since then stems from the relationships cultivated by Vice President Len Moser, who graduated from Penn State’s architectural engineering program in 1990, and immediately became part of the team that built Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Since then, Barton Malow’s been the builder of choice for clients including  NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, MLS, NASCAR, USL, MiLB, and other professional and Division 1-3 collegiate athletics.
