Wind farm construction isn’t your typical project – but the end result can have a lasting impact on the community.
In Episode 4 of Said Differently – A Barton Malow Podcast, we take a look at all-things wind farm construction and how Barton Malow is helping to build a more sustainable future.
Our guests on this episode include Barton Malow Senior Project Managers Ryan Johnston and Curtis Brown, and DTE Manager of Renewable Energy Development Matt Wagner. Ryan and Curtis are both members of Barton Malow’s Energy team, and Matt manages all wind and solar energy projects for DTE Energy with a current focus on community engagement, permitting, wildlife, and landowner care.
Barton Malow entered the Wind Energy market in 2008 and has since established itself as a go-to builder in renewable energy. We’ve completed more than 20 wind farm construction projects, erected nearly 500 turbines, dedicated more than 1.75 million hours worked to this construction, and we were among the first Michigan contractors to join the 1-gigawatt club.
Barton Malow is also a member of the DTE MIGreenPower program. Through the program, 100% of the electricity that powers our Southfield headquarters building is derived from Michigan-made solar and wind energy.
