Work Commences on Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Management

Construction on Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management kicked off in April 2021. The official groundbreaking ceremony was limited due to COVID-19 restrictions, but the guests permitted to attend included distinguished Vanderbilt alumni and administrators like Chancellor Daniel Diermeier and Owen Graduate School of Management Dean M. Eric Johnson.

Barton Malow’s work on the Owen Graduate School will ensure that it remains one of the finest business schools in the country. Planned upgrades include a new entrance at street level, a new café, collaboration spaces for students, and a multipurpose room that can fit the entire MBA student body. The classrooms on the second floor will be greatly expanded thanks to a building extension, as will the office space on the third floor. The extension also allows for the creation of a fourth floor, which will feature an outside deck, an event space, and two classrooms. Construction is projected to conclude in fall 2022.
