Roth Tower

University of Central Florida

Barton Malow is taking the field again with the University of Central Florida (UCF) as we work to complete a 58,000 SF expansion of Roth Tower that will improve the student and fan experience at UCF and allow the university to serve as a premier event space in east Orange County. The renovation and expansion include over 1,000 total club seats, 28 luxury indoor suites, 34 outdoor bay suites, and comprehensive renovations of current clubs, suites, press areas, and exterior façade.

Preconstruction work was completed last year, and the project broke ground in December. Currently, work is focusing on the wings of the tower expansion on the north and south ends of the current tower; a new premium parking area at the entrance to the Hagle Football Gateway on the current location of the west practice field; and the Promenade, which will lead fans from the entrance into the stadium. In the fall of 2025, the north and south expansion structure and roof will take shape around the existing tower, with west expansion foundations and columns in place. At the conclusion of the 2025 season, the existing tower will cease operations to complete the remaining structure and interior buildout. The project is expected to be completed ahead of the 2026 Football Season.

Gameday Logistics on an Active Campus

Barton Malow is no stranger to working on active campuses and navigating gameday logistics, with deep experience on projects like Camping World Stadium, Daytona International Speedway, and Vanderbilt University. The project team has strategically phased the Roth Tower construction to allow for activity within the UCF stadium, campus, and athletic complex to remain operational for the 2025 football season.
